smallBMS is a battery management system (BMS) designed to replace VE.Bus BMS V2 in several applications. However, it is not compatible with inverter/chargers like VE.Bus MultiPlus and Quattro because it lacks a VE.Bus interface. It is primarily intended to be used with Victron Smart LiFePO4 batteries equipped with circular M8 connectors.

smallBMS has two outputs, just like VE.Bus BMS V2. These outputs can be used to protect the battery from over- and under-voltage by disconnecting loads and charging as needed. This makes smallBMS a reliable solution for managing and optimizing the performance of lithium batteries in systems without the need for VE.Bus communication.
