Inverting remote on-off cable is a cable designed to connect Victron inverters, such as Phoenix 12/180, 24/180, 12/350, 24/350, to a VE.Bus BMS or a BlueSolar MPPT charger with a load output. It is used to turn the inverter on or off based on the battery status or the charger's load output.
When used with VE.Bus BMS, the inverter will be turned off when the batteries are discharged, protecting them from deep discharge. For BlueSolar MPPT chargers, which do not allow a direct connection of the inverter to the load output, the inverter is instead connected to the battery, while the cable is used to control the inverter's on and off switching.
This cable is intended for products that require an active pull-down of the remote control terminal to activate. For example, the load output on an MPPT 75/15 or MPPT 100/15 can be used to control the inverter. For some inverters, the remote control input must be pulled down to turn on, which is the case for the Phoenix models 12/180, 24/180, 12/350, and 24/350.
Inverting remote on-off cable can also be used with all Phoenix inverters with a power of 3 kVA or more, as well as Multi and Quattro models, to ensure that the remote control terminal is controlled correctly.
Inverting remote on-off cable has the following specifications: it can handle a maximum input and output voltage of 70 V, and to activate the pull-down a minimum input voltage of about 6 V is required. The cable can handle a maximum pull-down current of about 30 mA and is short-circuit protected, making it a safe and reliable solution to control inverters in your system.
