Color Control GX is a central unit for monitoring and control of Victron systems, providing real-time information and control of all connected products, such as inverters, battery chargers, and solar chargers. It belongs to the GX product family and is controlled via control buttons on the built-in LCD screen. Color Control GX functions as the heart of your energy system and ensures that all system components work smoothly together. You can monitor and control your system either locally via the screen or remotely through the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal, which is available free of charge.

The unit is compatible with a range of products, including Multis, MultiPlus, Quattro, MPPT Solar chargers, and BMV battery monitors. Additionally, Color Control GX offers remote firmware updates and the ability to change settings via the internet, allowing you to customize and optimize your system anywhere in the world. For installations without internet, there is the option to manually update the software via a USB stick or microSD card. CCGX does not have built-in WiFi, but it is possible to use an external, compatible USB WiFi dongle.

Besides monitoring and control, Color Control GX also offers advanced features, such as automatic start and stop of generators based on battery charge, voltage, or load levels. This feature can be further customized with quiet periods to avoid disturbances. The unit also supports integration with other manufacturers' products, such as Fronius PV inverters and RuuviTag wireless temperature sensors.

Mounting and connecting Color Control GX is easy with included mounting brackets, power cable, and VE.Can terminators. It can be powered with a voltage source between 8-70V DC and comes with several isolated communication ports, including VE.Direct, VE.Can, VE.Bus, and Ethernet. Several USB ports are also available to connect extra accessories, such as Wi-Fi dongles and GPS devices.

Color Control GX sends all data from connected products to the VRM portal, where you can monitor energy consumption, battery status, and other important parameters. It also allows you to set up email alarms and generate detailed reports. VRM is compatible with both iOS and Android devices via an app, making it easy to keep track of your installation anywhere.

When used in an energy storage system (ESS), Color Control GX functions as an energy manager, keeping the batteries fully charged and diverting excess energy for self-consumption, saving money. The unit can also be controlled via a remote console, allowing you to manage your system as easily as if you were standing in front of the unit.

For users who need to expand the number of connected devices, Color Control GX supports more VE.Direct devices via USB hubs. The recommended power source is a directly connected battery to avoid possible power interruptions in case of inverter issues.
