BSS Solenoid ML 500A 12V RBS With Manual Control is a powerful magnetic latching switch designed to handle high current switching under load, either manually or via remote control. With a continuous current capacity of 500A, this solenoid is ideal for demanding applications in marine, industrial, and automotive environments where safety and reliability are crucial.
The manual override knob provides an extra level of safety by allowing control with or without power, and offers a "LOCKED OFF" function to facilitate maintenance. The switch is equipped with tin-plated copper studs at 3/8"-16 that ensure maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance. The terminals, which are 22 mm long, are designed to handle multiple cable connections simultaneously. The silver alloy contacts ensure high reliability even during active switching of high loads.
BSS Solenoid ML 500A is built for long life with a mechanical endurance of up to 100,000 cycles. The bi-stable coil allows automatic power release when needed and can be controlled with SPST or SPDT switches, making it flexible for various types of applications. It has an LED output to indicate the switch status remotely (LED required as an option), making it even more user-friendly.
With an intermittent current capacity of 700A for five minutes and a cranking rating of 1450A DC for 30 seconds, the solenoid is built to withstand extreme loads.
