ML-RBS Remote Battery Switch is a 500A magnetically latched switch that offers high amperage breaking under load, either manually or via remote control. It is ideal for use in systems where reliability and safety are crucial. Manual override control with LOCKED OFF function provides extra safety and allows control even without power, which is perfect for service and maintenance.
The switch has an auto-releasing function, meaning it automatically releases when necessary, and it can be controlled with an SPST or SPDT switch for applications where a normally open relay is desired. It also has an LED output that shows the switch status at remote locations, requiring an optional LED unit.
To ensure maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance, the switch is equipped with tinned copper studs and silver-alloy contacts for high reliability in switching live load handling. The switch is built to handle up to 700A in intermittent use and 1450A for 30 seconds during start cycles, making it ideal for motor starters and large currents.
With a mechanical lifespan of 100,000 cycles and low current consumption (8mA when off and 13mA when on), this switch offers long-lasting durability and efficient performance. It withstands a wide temperature range from -10°C to 60°C, making it weather-resistant and perfect for both marine and industrial applications.
