ML-RBS Remote Battery Switch is a 500A magnetically latched switch that offers high amperage breaking under load, either manually or via remote control. It is designed to handle large currents with high safety and reliability. With a manual override control, the user can turn off the switch for maintenance or service, even without power, and it also has a LOCKED OFF function that makes it ideal for safe service.
This model is equipped with an auto-releasing function, providing 500A breaking and can be controlled with an SPST or SPDT switch, making it flexible for various applications where a normally open relay is desired. The switch has an LED output that can be used to display the switch status at remote locations (optional LED unit required).
To ensure maximum conductivity and corrosion resistance, it is equipped with tinned copper studs and silver-alloy contacts that provide high reliability when switching live load handling. The switch can handle up to 700A in intermittent use and 1450A for 30 seconds during start cycles, making it ideal for applications with high current strengths such as motor starters.
ML-RBS Remote Battery Switch also offers long service life and durability, with a mechanical life of 100,000 cycles and low current consumption (8mA when off and 13mA when on). The switch is designed to handle two 4/0 AWG cables and has a large terminal stud length of 22.23 mm to allow connection of multiple cables. It is also weather-resistant, making it perfect for both marine and industrial applications, and withstands temperatures between -10°C and 60°C.
