BEP Smart Battery Hub Twin Engine is a smart and complete solution for battery management in twin-engine systems. With a robust and waterproof IPX7 design, it combines remote-controlled switches, automatic voltage management (VSS), and an emergency disconnect function, making it ideal for boats and other vehicles with advanced electrical systems.
The system monitors and sends battery voltages and house bank charging status via NMEA 2000, making it easy to integrate with modern multifunction displays. It can handle from two up to six engines, providing flexibility for different installations.
The battery hub has remote-controlled switches, which can be controlled via analog inputs or CZone®, and it has a very low power consumption of under 5mA in standby mode, making it energy efficient. For extra safety, there is a mechanical emergency disconnect, so all switches can be manually controlled if needed.
The automatic voltage switching (VSS) allows the system to regulate the batteries' charging and capacity by itself. If necessary, the emergency disconnect can be activated to parallel the batteries, for example during engine start.
BEP Smart Battery Hub also has advanced CZone® features, such as load shedding, NMEA 2000 switch bank, and logic control, making the system more automated and user-friendly. It can also monitor tank levels, temperature, and pressure via common sensors. LED indicators provide clear status for all switches and show any faults.
The system can be easily updated via a USB port, enabling firmware updates and configuration changes directly via the NMEA 2000 network without a computer or external adapters. It also has two fused 10A outputs for 24-hour functions and can operate standalone without CZone®.
With a continuous current capacity of 300A, intermittent load of 700A, and starting current of 1450A, this is a powerful solution for battery management. The unit withstands tough conditions with an operating temperature of -15°C to +55°C, and it meets CE, NMEA, and ISO8846/SAEJ1171 standards for safety and reliability.
