BEP Battery Switch Remote Operated Emergency Parallel is an intelligent and robust solution for automatic battery management and emergency coupling of battery banks in marine and vehicle applications. With Voltage Sensitive Switch (VSS) technology, it can automatically detect battery voltage and optimize charging of the secondary battery bank, while offering a remote-controlled emergency parallel function when extra power is needed.
This unit allows combining or isolating battery banks based on the presence of a charging source such as an engine alternator or battery charger. If needed, it can also connect the battery banks via a remote-controlled button, providing quick access to extra power during starting problems or high power demands.
For emergencies, the system offers a ten-minute emergency coupling function, allowing temporary parallel connection of the battery banks. After this period, the unit will remain active if the battery voltage is sufficient – otherwise, it will automatically disconnect to protect the batteries.
The unit is designed for long life in marine environments, with tinned copper conductors, stainless steel nuts, and heat-resistant, fiber-reinforced plastic components. It is spark-proof, can be surface-mounted or recessed, and has a manual override function for extra safety and control.
