GX LTE 4G-E is a mobile modem for Victron's GX series of monitoring products and provides a reliable mobile internet connection for your system as well as connection to the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal. The device works with 2G, 3G, and 4G networks, enabling remote monitoring and control of your systems wherever you are. There are several models of GX LTE 4G, and we recommend consulting the manual to choose the right model based on the mobile network bands in your area.
GX LTE 4G-E includes a built-in GPS receiver, allowing you to track the system and use geofence functionality on the VRM portal. To enable GPS tracking, a separate GPS antenna is required, with article number GSM900200100. This antenna allows you to follow the system's position and track its movements directly via the VRM portal.
GX LTE 4G-E is compatible with all GX devices and requires Venus OS v2.60 or newer for installation. The device uses a mini-SIM card and connects to the system via the included USB cable. It is important to note that GX LTE 4G-E only provides internet connection for the GX device and cannot share internet with other devices such as smartphones, tablets, or computers. For systems where multiple devices require internet access, for example on boats or motorhomes, it is recommended instead to install a mobile router. A mobile router can also share mobile data with multiple devices and offer both Ethernet and WiFi connections, providing extra flexibility.
The package includes a small LTE antenna for indoor use, but if you need a stronger antenna for better range, an LTE antenna for outdoor use is available as an option.
