The HS40 wireless handset gives you the freedom to remotely control your Simrad RS40 or RS40-B VHF radio and experience all the benefits of a fixed mounted system, combined with the convenience of a portable device. This wireless handset is easy to carry, simple to use, and allows you to move freely onboard without compromising communication functions.
With the HS40, you can remotely control your VHF radio anywhere on the boat. You can make calls, browse channels, and quickly initiate DSC emergency functions directly from the handset. This handset provides you with all the features and benefits of a fixed mounted VHF radio with the added convenience of being able to take it wherever you are onboard. This means you get maximum transmission power and access to all important functions, even when moving around the boat.
The HS40 offers a range of up to 100 meters, making it perfect for covering the entire boat, even on larger vessels. You can also use one or more HS40 handsets together with the RS40 as an intercom system onboard, facilitating communication among the crew on the boat.
The handset is built to withstand tough conditions, with waterproof protection according to IPX7 and an inductive charging system that lacks exposed power contacts. This makes it both weather-resistant and durable in marine environments. A full charge provides up to 8 hours of battery life, giving you plenty of time to use the device without worrying about battery life.
