V60-B VHF Marine Kit with AIS transponder in class B and GPS-500 offers a reliable and safe communication solution for everyone traveling at sea. With a built-in AIS transponder in class B and GPS receiver, you get both the ability to see and be seen by other AIS-equipped boats nearby, which helps to avoid collisions and increase safety, especially in narrow waterways and harbors. Thanks to the AIS transponder, your boat can continuously transmit its position to surrounding vessels, allowing other boats to always detect your presence, whether it is day or night. The AIS information can be displayed directly on the radio's screen or overlaid on a compatible chartplotter or radar for clear viewing of surrounding vessels.
The V60-B is packaged with GPS-500, which provides improved GPS performance and ensures that your position is always accurate and updated, even under tougher conditions. The built-in GPS receiver allows your boat's position to be sent quickly in emergencies via DSC distress calls, which is an important feature to ensure help reaches you as quickly as possible.
The detachable handheld microphone gives you great flexibility in terms of installation and use. The microphone can be connected to both the front and back of the radio, and with optional cables, you can mount the microphone and radio separately. This makes installation smooth and tangle-free, for example by mounting the radio in the ceiling and having the microphone easily accessible on the panel.
To further increase functionality onboard, you can add up to two H60 wireless handsets. These handsets duplicate the radio's display and controls, allowing you to operate the radio and use all functions anywhere onboard. When multiple handsets are connected, they also function as an intercom system, improving communication among the crew.
The V60-B is approved according to class D DSC, which gives you the ability to quickly make distress calls with your exact position. The radio also has NMEA 0183® and NMEA 2000® connections, making it easy to integrate with other marine systems onboard. Additionally, you can add an optional megaphone or external speaker to improve sound distribution onboard.
