RS40 VHF Marine Radio with DSC and AIS is a user-friendly and powerful marine radio that helps you stay connected and safe on the water. The RS40 has a dual-channel AIS receiver that monitors the positions of nearby vessels, helping you avoid collisions. AIS information is displayed on the radio's screen or can be transferred to your chartplotter or radar screen. The built-in GPS ensures that your position can be sent with emergency calls, even if other electronics are not functioning, making the RS40 a reliable safety system.
The microphone can be connected both at the front or back, and with extension cables, you can easily find an installation solution that suits your boat. For example, the radio can be mounted on the ceiling while the microphone is connected lower down for a neater installation. The RS40 can be expanded with up to two wireless handsets, allowing you to use the radio anywhere on the boat. These handsets duplicate the radio's screen and controls and also function as an intercom system when more than one handset is connected.
With class D DSC functionality, the RS40 can automatically send emergency calls with exact position. This safety system makes the radio an important tool for safe navigation. The RS40 can easily be connected to other onboard systems thanks to NMEA 0183® and NMEA 2000® connections. You can also add external speakers or megaphones for better sound.
