Heater HL3-16 24V is the third generation powerful waterborne diesel heater from Eberspächer, with an output of a full 16,000 W. It is designed to be controlled via Canbus, Linbus, or analog signal and operates in both heating and ventilation modes. The heater has low electrical consumption of only 65 W and a fuel consumption of 1.9 liters per hour, making it efficient even at high power outputs. It can operate in ambient temperatures from –40 to +85 °C and is approved for use up to 3900 meters altitude.
This model replaces 252486020000 and is delivered without an integrated water pump.
When replacing from HL2 to HL3, adapter cable 253040890500 and adapter cable for water pump 253040890600 are required. The same cabling is also required for new installations. For heater diagnostics, cable 253040890200 is used, and for Canbus control with timer, cable 253040890300 is needed. HL3-16 has a minimum water flow of 1400 l/h and delivers a maximum flow of up to 5200 l/h with an allowable pressure difference of 0.5 bar during operation. It is built to withstand a system pressure of up to 2.5 bar and the heat exchanger has an expected lifespan of 5000 hours.
