GX Tank 140 is an accessory that makes it possible to read and monitor levels in up to four tanks via tank level sensors. It is designed to integrate with Victron's GX system, where Cerbo GX is the most common device. By connecting the GX Tank 140 to your GX device, you can easily monitor tank levels both locally and remotely via Victron's VRM portal.
GX Tank 140 is compatible with both current transmitters (4 to 20 mA) and voltage transmitters (0 to 10 V), and connects via USB, which also provides power to the device. Two of the four inputs have built-in 24 V power supply to drive the transmitters, while the other two require external power supply. This simplifies wiring and makes installation smoother.
To ensure accurate readings, you can configure upper and lower limits, especially if the transmitter only provides part of the scale (e.g., 0 to 5 V). Additionally, you can set an averaging filter (1 to 60 seconds) to dampen the effect of liquid movements. The device is also equipped with fault detection, which warns if a sensor is malfunctioning or if there are problems with the wiring.
For marine applications, GX Tank 140 can send tank levels to an NMEA 2000 network, allowing them to be read on other displays, such as a multifunction display (MFD). This makes it a versatile solution for both marine and stationary installations.
