Skylla-TG 24/80(1+1) 230V is a powerful and versatile battery charger suitable for all types of batteries, from open to sealed maintenance-free models. The charger is powered by 230 V at 50/60 Hz and the charging voltage can easily be adjusted to ensure a long battery life. This is especially important for sealed batteries, where a stable charging voltage prevents overcharging, gassing, and drying out, which can damage the battery.
This charger uses a microprocessor-controlled three-step charging process (IUoUo characteristic), which guarantees accurate and fast charging compared to other charging methods. The charger can also be used as a stable power supply when batteries or buffer capacitors are not available, thanks to the perfectly stabilized output voltage.
Skylla-TG 24/80(1+1) has two isolated outputs. The first output can deliver full rated current of 80A to the main battery bank, while the second output, intended for maintenance charging of starter batteries, provides 4A and has a slightly lower output voltage. This is a powerful solution for 24V systems that withstand extreme environments and ensures that both service batteries and starter batteries are kept in optimal condition.
Each Skylla-TG charger comes with a temperature sensor that adjusts the charging voltage based on the battery temperature. This is crucial for sealed batteries, as it prevents the battery from overheating and drying out during charging.
To guarantee that the battery receives the correct voltage regardless of cable length and voltage drop, the Skylla-TG has a separate voltage sensor connected directly to the battery. This ensures that the battery is charged with exactly the right voltage for optimal performance.
