Blue Sea Systems Circuit Breaker, Bus 285 Surface Mount 30A is a reliable switch that offers both overload protection and power management in a single unit. With a capacity of 30A and a maximum voltage of 48V DC, it is ideal for protecting electrical systems in both marine and vehicle environments. It combines the functions of a switch and circuit breaker, making it a versatile choice for many applications.

This circuit breaker functions as a drop-in replacement for the 185 series circuit breakers, making installation easy and smooth in existing systems. It is surface-mounted and has a visible reset lever that clearly shows if the breaker is in the open position, making it easy to see if it has tripped.

Blue Sea Systems 285 series breakers are ignition protected, making them safe for installation in gasoline-powered boats. It meets SAE J1171 standards for external ignition protection, ensuring it can be used in demanding marine environments. The breaker is also weather-resistant, meaning it withstands moisture and harsh conditions without compromising performance.

It has a "Trip Free" design, meaning the breaker cannot be held closed after it has tripped due to a fault current, increasing safety. The terminals are M6 stud terminals that accept 1/4" ring terminals and require a tightening torque of 50 in-lb (5.65 Nm) for proper installation.

This breaker also has an impressive fault current capacity of 3000A at 48V, meaning it can effectively handle fault currents without damage. It is designed to withstand extreme temperatures with a minimum operating temperature of -40°C and a maximum operating temperature of 85°C, making it reliable in both cold and hot environments.
