The 285-Series Circuit Breaker is a powerful circuit breaker that combines both switch and circuit protection in a single unit. It is designed as a drop-in replacement for 185-Series Circuit Breakers, making it easy to install and providing reliable protection for electrical systems in marine and vehicle applications.
With a "Trip Free" design, it ensures that the breaker cannot be held on during fault current, making it extra safe. A visible reset lever indicates when the breaker has tripped and is in the open position. It is waterproof and meets SAE J1171 ignition protection standards, making it safe for use in gasoline-powered boats and potentially explosive environments. The breaker is also weather-resistant, making it durable in both marine and outdoor environments.
It handles 150A continuous current and can interrupt up to 3000A at 48V DC, making it ideal for applications with high current and motor starts. M6 terminal studs accept 1/4" ring terminals, allowing you to get strong and stable connections. With a terminal stud torque of 50 in-lb (5.65 Nm), you get a secure installation.
The 285-Series Circuit Breaker 150A is made of heat-resistant thermoplastic material, making it reliable and durable at both low and high temperatures (from -40°C to 85°C). It has large clearance around the terminals, making it capable of handling heavy cables and large wire connections.
