SMARTSOLAR MPPT RS 450/100-MC4 is Victron's solar charge controller designed for systems with large series-connected solar panels charging 48 V DC battery banks. This controller is perfect for both large grid-connected and off-grid battery systems, making it a versatile solution for various applications. With MC4 connectors, the connection of solar panels becomes quick, safe, and easy, saving time during installation and reducing the risk of incorrect connections. This charge controller is ideal for larger systems using high-voltage solar panels and battery banks in 48V systems. It supports up to 450V input voltage and a charging current of 100A. The charge controller can be connected to solar panels generating a combined voltage of up to 450 volts DC.
With available models at 5.76 kW and 11.52 kW, the SmartSolar MPPT RS offers a wide operating range for solar voltage input of 80-450 VDC. The controller has standalone tracking inputs and full connectivity, ensuring easy integration into your system. It is also equipped with isolated solar connections, a display, and fully programmable battery charging parameters. Active cooling and the newly designed metal enclosure, together with fully covered electrical connections, increase both safety and the modern presentation of the product.
You can remotely control and configure the SmartSolar RS charge controller via Bluetooth using the VictronConnect app. This allows you to easily set up the device, manage it, and access overview information such as battery voltage, current, solar voltage and current, as well as historical data and trends.
The SmartSolar RS charge controller is also equipped with VE.Can bus ports, enabling communication with additional SmartSolar RS and VE.Can MPPT units. These units can be "daisy-chained" with an RJ45 cable, and when connected, all individual charge controllers synchronize their charging modes. They can also send monitoring data via the same cable to a GX device, such as Cerbo GX, providing a complete overview of the system's performance.
