VE.Bus Smart Dongle is a versatile product that combines two important functions. Firstly, it acts as a Bluetooth accessory for Victron's series of inverters and chargers, including models such as Multi, MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II, MultiGrid, Quattro, and Phoenix inverters with VE.Bus port. By using the VictronConnect app, you can easily monitor and control the system remotely, where you can change the input current limit as well as switch between off, on, and charger-only modes.
Secondly, the VE.Bus Smart Dongle can be used as a voltage and temperature sensor for inverters/chargers, which is especially useful in caravans, smaller boats, and motorhomes where more advanced systems like Color Control GX or Venus GX are not needed. The dongle also provides immediate reading of the inverter's key data directly in the VictronConnect app without requiring an active connection. It displays warnings, alarms, and error messages, enabling quick and easy diagnostics.
Included accessories are: VE.Bus Smart Dongle, a terminal block with screw connections, a black battery connection wire (-) with 10 mm ring terminal, and a red battery connection wire (+) with 10 mm ring terminal and built-in fuse.
Not included in the package: Temperature sensor for BMV-712 Smart and BMV-702 (can be used as an external sensor) as well as UTP RJ45 cable needed to connect the dongle to the inverter or charger (sold separately).
It has an input voltage of 8–70 V DC, current consumption less than 9 mA depending on connection, operating temperature -20 to +50°C, protection class IP20, material ABS in matte black.
