The CANUSB interface is used to connect a VE.Can product to a computer, enabling smooth monitoring and configuration of the system. The CANUSB adapter has a red status LED that indicates different states: when the LED is on, the adapter is connected to the operating system's driver; when it blinks slowly, software is connected to the adapter; and when it blinks quickly, data is being transferred via the connected CAN bus. The package with article number ASS030532010 contains the CANUSB adapter, two VE.Can RJ45 terminators, and a manual. Drivers and software must be downloaded from Victron Energy's website.
For installation, a system with Windows 10/8.1/7 (32/64-bit) is required. It is important to always place terminators at both ends of the VE.Can network to ensure proper function. Note that this product is intended only for VE.Can and cannot be used for VE.Bus or VE.Net. The CANUSB interface can be connected to any product with a VE.Can connection and offers reliable connectivity to transfer and receive data between devices and the computer.
