Buck-Boost DC/DC Converter 100A is an advanced converter specially designed to charge 12V or 24V service batteries in vehicles with intelligent generators, common in modern vehicles with Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines. These generators are controlled by onboard electronics and can provide both too low and too high charging voltage, making a DC-DC converter essential to ensure correct charging of the service batteries. This converter charges the battery with a preset output voltage, preventing both overcharging and undercharging. This is especially important in vehicles with regenerative braking or where the generator provides higher voltages, such as in Mercedes vehicles with voltages up to 15.4V.
Buck-Boost DC/DC Converter 100A has a built-in engine detection system, which ensures that the converter only activates when the engine is running, thereby preventing the starter battery from being completely discharged. The converter is fully programmable and can be configured to charge a 12V or 24V battery from either a 12V or 24V generator, making it very flexible and adaptable for different system configurations. Programming is done easily via a PC application, allowing adjustment of settings such as maximum charging current, maximum input current, and other parameters to optimize charging.
This converter is also equipped with LED indicators that provide clear information about input and output status. These indicators show, among other things, whether the converter is on, if the input voltage is below the threshold, if overheating has occurred, and whether the battery is discharged or not connected. The output current is determined by the settings for maximum charging current and input current, as well as the maximum operating temperature of the converter.
