Victron Energy LiFePO4 Battery 12.8V/150Ah NG is part of the innovative NG series (Next Generation), which builds on the successful Lithium Smart series and offers several important improvements for the energy storage needs of the future. The NG series introduces enhanced features, such as more detailed readings of cell voltages and temperatures as well as the ability to build battery banks with a maximum capacity of up to 385 kWh. The battery is available in several voltage levels, including 12, 24, and 48 V, and is IP65 rated to provide protection against dust and low-pressure water jets. This makes it ideal for use in environments where exposure to dust and water may be a concern. Easy and secure mounting is enabled with brackets and straps.
Victron Energy's Lithium-NG batteries are lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4 or LFP) with a nominal voltage of 12.8 V and a capacity of 150 Ah. They can be connected in series, parallel, or a combination of both to create system voltages of 12, 24, or 48 V. Up to 50 batteries can be connected together in a system, allowing energy storage of up to 192 kWh in a 12 V system.
The battery is equipped with a built-in shunt that transmits data such as voltage, current, and temperature to the BMS (battery management system). The BMS is a mandatory component that automatically manages all battery parameters, including system voltage and the number of batteries. Through the VictronConnect app, a GX device, or the VRM portal, the user can easily monitor the battery's status. Bluetooth functionality enables real-time monitoring of cell voltages, temperatures, and warning messages. The battery's firmware is automatically updated by the BMS.
The improved self-discharge rate of less than 2% per month makes this battery very energy efficient. The battery has an efficiency of 92% and low capacity loss, less than 1% per 100 cycles at 100% DoD (Depth of Discharge). The cycle life is impressive with up to 5000 cycles at 50% DoD.
The operating temperature ranges from -20 °C to +50 °C during discharge and from +5 °C to +50 °C during charging. The storage temperature is between -45 °C and +70 °C, making the battery suitable for a variety of environments and applications. The IP65 protection rating ensures resistance to dust and water, increasing its durability and reliability.
Mounting the battery is easy and secure thanks to the included mounting brackets and straps, which hold the battery firmly in place.
