MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 2x120V is a versatile and advanced inverter and battery charger that offers high flexibility and efficiency for both private and commercial applications. The unit supports both 120/240 V and 120 V input, with always 120 V output in inverter mode, making it ideal for various energy systems and scenarios.
When connected to a split-phase 120/240 V source or a single-phase 120 V source, the output mirrors the input when AC is available. Battery charging and power supply primarily occur from the L1 input, while the unit switches to inverter operation in the absence of an AC source. In this mode, MultiPlus connects the L1 and L2 lines to deliver 120 V AC, ensuring that sensitive equipment such as computers continue to operate without interruption. Heavy 240 V loads, like water heaters, are only powered when AC from a split-phase source is available, protecting the battery from unnecessary discharge.
With PowerControl, the maximum current from the grid or generator can be set to avoid overload. PowerAssist goes a step further by using battery power to support short-term consumption peaks and recharges the battery when the load decreases. This makes the system very reliable and efficient, even under high load.
The unit has two AC outputs. The primary output provides uninterrupted power supply and switches to inverter operation in less than 18 milliseconds during a grid failure, protecting sensitive loads. The secondary output is only active when AC is available at the input and can be used for loads that should not drain the battery, such as a water heater.
For larger systems, up to six MultiPlus units can be connected in parallel to increase total power, and three units can be configured for three-phase operation. The unit’s settings can be quickly adjusted via the VEConfigure software and MK3-USB interface, while system monitoring and remote control are possible with a Cerbo GX or other GX device. Data can be monitored and adjusted remotely via the VRM portal, which is free to use.
MultiPlus-II also offers several monitoring options, including Bluetooth support via a VE.Bus Smart Dongle, enabling the use of the VictronConnect app to monitor and control the system directly from a smartphone, tablet, or computer. For further customization options, the unit has a programmable relay and support for external current sensors, providing flexibility for more advanced energy management solutions.
With a robust steel construction, high performance, and many customizable features, the MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 2x120V is the perfect choice for both small and large energy systems that require reliability, efficiency, and flexibility.
