The sophisticated processor-controlled Isotherm SEC unit achieves significant energy savings by continuously scanning a set of key factors. This is to determine, through advanced algorithms, what the most relevant compressor speed should be to maximize performance versus power consumption (COP).
SEC not only makes the refrigerator intelligent but also allows a large amount of cooling to be stored in food and drink without freezing the food. Isotherm Smart Energy Control lowers the cooling compartment temperature when the voltage in the electrical system is above a certain level, indicating that charging is being supplied. This is continuously monitored by a temperature sensor in the cabinet. Cooling energy is stored when a power surplus is available (engine on, solar panel, or connection to shore power) and is reused first before the refrigerator runs on the battery again.
