Orion-Tr 24/48-8.5A (400W) DC-DC ISO is an isolated DC-DC converter that offers safe and stable power supply by converting 24V to 48V with an output power of 400W and an output current of 8.5A, making it ideal for a variety of applications where a stable and reliable power supply is required. It is designed with high efficiency, ensuring the unit operates efficiently with up to 95% efficiency at full load.
An isolated converter has galvanic isolation between the input and output. This means there is no direct electrical connection between the input and output; they are completely separated. It is often used in situations where higher safety and protection are needed, such as in marine applications, industrial systems, or in vehicles where multiple grounding systems may be involved.
This converter is equipped with a remote on/off terminal, eliminating the need for a high-current switch in the input cables. You can easily control the unit via a low-current switch or by connecting it to the engine start/stop switch, providing smooth and flexible control.
Orion-Tr 24/48-8.5A is also designed to be safe and durable. It is short-circuit protected and can be connected in parallel with other units to increase the output current, meaning you can connect an unlimited number of units in parallel to meet larger current demands. It is also protected against high temperatures, and the output current is automatically adjusted if the ambient temperature becomes too high.
With IP43 protection (when the unit is installed with the screw terminals facing down), it is built to withstand demanding environments and provide long-lasting performance. The screw terminals make installation easy, without the need for special tools, making it quick to install and use.
Note that this converter has an adjustable output voltage, but it is not intended for battery charging. For battery charging purposes, the Orion-Tr Smart models are recommended.
