Isolation Transformer 7000W 230V is a high-performance isolation transformer. The transformer is specially designed to provide full galvanic isolation between shore power and the boat's electrical system, eliminating unwanted electrical currents that can otherwise lead to galvanic and electrolytic corrosion.
With an output power of 7000W (7kW) and support for 230V alternating current, it is powerful enough to supply larger electrical systems with multiple connected devices. It is based on advanced toroidal winding technology that not only provides low weight and compact design but also extremely quiet operation and high efficiency. The transformer emits minimal heat and has very low loss, which is especially important in spaces where ventilation is limited.
A built-in soft start circuit ensures that the transformer connects smoothly to the grid, preventing fuses from tripping due to the initial current surge. This provides a smooth and reliable startup every time the boat is connected to shore power. The transformer is fully enclosed in a protective housing to withstand the marine environment, with moisture, salt, and temperature fluctuations.
Unlike galvanic isolators, which only block voltage differences in the ground conductor, this isolation transformer offers a complete electrical break between the grid and the boat. This not only provides superior protection against corrosion but also ensures that no interference or ground faults from the shore installation are transferred to the onboard internal system. It is also compatible with both manual and automatic shore power switching, making it flexible to use in various installation solutions.
