Isolation Transformer 3600W Auto 115/230V is a high-performance isolation transformer with automatic voltage switching, specially designed for marine installations where both 115V and 230V shore power may occur. The transformer provides full galvanic isolation between the shore power and the boat's electrical system, thereby eliminating unwanted electrical currents that can cause galvanic and electrolytic corrosion – a common problem in marine environments where multiple boats are connected to the same power system.
What distinguishes this model is its Auto function, which means that the transformer automatically detects and adapts to the incoming voltage (115V or 230V) and then connects the correct supply to the output. This means the user does not need to make any manual switching when the boat moves between different ports with different electrical standards – the system handles everything itself. This function is especially useful for boats traveling between countries with different mains voltages, for example between North America (115V) and Europe (230V).
With an output power of 3600W (3.6kW), it can supply larger electrical systems onboard and is well suited for both recreational boats and commercial vessels. It is based on toroidal winding technology that provides very quiet operation, low weight, and high efficiency. To prevent fuses from blowing at connection, it is equipped with a built-in soft start function that dampens the current peak when connecting to shore power.
