EFOY 80 BT 12/24V is a fuel cell from EFOY and functions as a perfect power generator for your 12 V and 24 V battery. The integrated charge controller continuously monitors the charge level of your battery and charges it automatically when needed. When the battery is fully charged, the unit shuts itself off and goes into standby mode. This ensures that you always have full energy reserves and protects the battery from damage caused by deep discharge.
To use 230 V consumers, such as coffee machines or hair dryers, an inverter is required (see Victron inverter). Unlike the previous Comfort model, the EFOY 80 BT is compatible with both 12 V and 24 V batteries. It has no physical control panel; instead, it is monitored via the EFOY app on your smartphone or tablet. The OP3 control panel can be purchased as an accessory for those who prefer a physical solution.
Through the EFOY app, you can easily control and monitor your EFOY products. The app gives you access to important information about the fuel cell, battery, and fuel cartridge. You can see how much the fuel cell is charging and how much fuel remains. Additionally, you can adjust settings such as battery type, charging thresholds, and voltage.
EFOY fuel cells use DMFC technology (Direct Methanol Fuel Cell) to convert chemical energy into electrical energy with minimal efficiency loss. The methanol in the fuel cartridge combines with oxygen from the air to produce electricity. In addition to charging current, the system generates waste heat and water vapor with low carbon dioxide emissions, making the EFOY 80 BT both efficient and environmentally friendly.
