BEP Battery Switch Remote Operated with Optical Sensor offers a smart and efficient solution to handle the increased electrical load on today's boats. This remote-controlled main switch is designed to be installed close to the battery, reducing cable lengths and sizes, which in turn leads to significant savings in both cost and weight. It is ideal for applications requiring control of bow and stern thrusters.
The 720-MDO has been improved to offer easy installation and advanced options. It allows switching between different voltage circuits, such as powering a 48V bow thruster while maintaining a 24V house supply. The built-in optical sensor uses a simple connection for standard installation and can control various voltage levels, such as 36V or 48V.
The unit can be configured to switch either the positive or negative side of the system. The main contacts can be isolated from the control circuit, allowing operation via a separate battery source, providing great flexibility and safety in the system. Additionally, it has a very low standby current consumption of less than 5mA, helping to preserve battery life.
The switch is equipped with LED status indication to clearly show the remote control switch position, and it has a manual override function that meets CE/ABYC requirements, giving you extra safety and control when needed. It has the same capacity and specifications as other BEP battery switches and can be easily integrated into existing systems.
