The 285-Series Circuit Breaker is a reliable and efficient circuit breaker that combines switch and circuit protection in a single unit. It is designed to easily replace 185-Series Circuit Breakers, making installation both simple and fast. It is perfect for use in marine and vehicle applications where high current capacity and safety are crucial.
The breaker has a "Trip Free" design, which means it cannot be held on during a fault current, providing extra safety for the user. It has a visible reset lever that clearly shows when it has tripped and is in the open position. Additionally, the breaker is waterproof and meets SAE J1171 ignition protection standards, making it safe for use in gasoline-powered boats and other potentially explosive environments. The breaker is also weather-resistant, allowing it to be used safely under various outdoor conditions.
It handles 50A continuous current and can interrupt up to 3000A at 48V DC, making it safe to use for both high currents and motor starts. M6 terminal studs accept 1/4" ring terminals, providing strong and stable connections. With a terminal stud torque of 50 in-lb (5.65 Nm), you can be confident that the breaker maintains high quality and reliability during use.
