The 285-Series Circuit Breaker is a high-performance circuit breaker that combines both switch and circuit protection in a single unit. Designed as a drop-in replacement for 185-Series Circuit Breakers, this unit makes installation simple and fast, while providing effective protection for your electrical systems.
The breaker is equipped with a "Trip Free" design, which means it cannot be held on during a fault current, thereby preventing further damage. A visible reset lever shows when the breaker has tripped and is in the open position. The fuse is waterproof, making it safe for use in marine and outdoor environments, and meets SAE J1171 ignition protection standards, making it safe for installation in gasoline-powered boats.
The breaker handles a continuous current of 120A and can interrupt up to 3000A at 48V DC, making it perfect for high current applications. M6 terminal studs accept 1/4" ring terminals, providing strong and reliable connections. The breaker is also equipped with 50 in-lb (5.65 Nm) terminal stud torque, ensuring secure and durable installation.
The 285-Series Circuit Breaker 120A is made of heat-resistant thermoplastic material and is durable and reliable at both low and high temperatures (from -40°C to 85°C). Its large clearance around the terminals allows it to handle heavy cables and large wire connections.
