The 285-Series Circuit Breaker is a powerful and versatile circuit breaker that combines both switch and circuit protection in one unit. It is perfect for marine and vehicle applications and serves as a replacement for the 185-Series Circuit Breakers.
The breaker has a visible reset lever that clearly shows if the fuse has tripped, making it easy to identify when it is in the open position. Its "Trip Free" design ensures that it cannot be held on after tripping, providing extra safety in fault current situations. It is also ignition protected and meets SAE J1171 standards for external ignition protection, making it safe for use in gasoline-powered boats and other potentially explosive environments. Additionally, the breaker is weather-resistant, making it ideal for use in harsh outdoor conditions.
It handles 120A continuous current and can interrupt up to 3000A at 48V DC, making it safe and reliable even at high current levels. M6 terminal studs accept 1/4" ring terminals and ensure strong connections with 50 in-lb (5.65 Nm) terminal stud torque.
