The breaker has a "Trip Free" design, which means it cannot be held on during a fault current, ensuring extra safety. It features a clear single-lever operation, making it easy to check if it is in the open position. It is waterproof and meets SAE J1171 ignition protection standards, making it safe for use in gasoline-powered boats and other potentially explosive environments.
It handles 70A continuous current and can break up to 5000A at 14V DC, making it reliable at high currents and engine starts. 5/16" M8 terminal studs accept heavy cable terminals, ensuring strong and stable connections with 75 in-lb (8.47 Nm) terminal stud torque.
The 187-Series 70A Automatic Fuse is made of heat-resistant thermoplastic material, making it durable and reliable at both low and high temperatures (from -40°C to 85°C). It also offers large clearance around the terminals, allowing it to handle heavy cables and large wire connections.
