BEP Battery Switch Remote Operated Emergency Parallel is an advanced and reliable solution for efficient battery management in marine and mobile applications. The voltage-sensitive switch (VSS) automatically monitors the battery banks' voltage and ensures that charging is optimally distributed between them. If necessary, the batteries can be combined or isolated depending on whether a charging source, such as an engine charger or battery charger, is active. The unit is equipped with a remote-controlled emergency switching function that allows the batteries to be connected in parallel via a button on the dashboard. When activated, the batteries remain connected in parallel for 10 minutes, and if the voltage is sufficiently high after this time, the switch continues to keep them connected; otherwise, they are disconnected again.
It also has a manual override function that allows control of the battery connection when needed. The switch is compatible with both 12V and 24V systems, provided that both battery banks have the same voltage. With a low current consumption of under 6mA, it is energy-efficient and minimally affects the total battery consumption. The design is developed to withstand tough marine environments and is made with tin-plated copper conductors, stainless steel parts, and heat-resistant fiber-reinforced plastic materials for maximum durability. The product is ignition protected and can be installed both flush-mounted and surface-mounted for flexible placement.
