VE.Bus BMS is designed to protect each individual cell in Victron Energy lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4 or LFP). These batteries require careful protection to avoid over- and under-voltage as well as excessive temperature, which is ensured by the BMS system.
Victron's LiFePO4 batteries are equipped with built-in balancing, temperature, and voltage control systems (BTV), which connect to the VE.Bus BMS via two circular M8 cable connectors. These BTVs can be daisy-chained if multiple batteries are used in the same system, ensuring proper monitoring and protection of all battery cells.
