The radio features a built-in class D DSC function and GPS, providing access to important safety features such as emergency calls and position determination. For the V60-B model, you not only have a receiver for AIS targets, but it can also transmit your boat's position to other AIS-equipped vessels. The AIS information can be displayed directly on the radio's built-in screen or transferred to a compatible chartplotter, where it appears on the map or radar. This allows you to see and be seen, whether it is day or night.
The radio is expandable and offers great flexibility through its detachable handheld microphone, which can be connected both on the front and back. This solution makes it possible to mount the radio in different locations without tangled cables. For additional convenience, you can add up to two wireless handsets (H60), which duplicate the radio's display and controls. This allows you to communicate clearly from anywhere on board. The wireless handsets also function as an intercom, simplifying communication between different parts of the boat.
The B&G V60 is equipped with a dual-channel AIS receiver that allows you to see other AIS-equipped boats nearby. With the class D DSC function, you can send and receive emergency calls and communicate securely via VHF channels. The built-in GPS receiver provides accurate position determination, and with NMEA 0183® and NMEA 2000® connections, it is easy to integrate the radio with other marine systems.
