BEP Battery Distribution Cluster for Single Engine is an intelligent and reliable battery management solution that ensures you always have a fully charged reserve battery bank. This smart charging distribution is designed for boats with one engine and two separate battery banks, and it uses a dual sensing Digital Voltage Sensing Relay (DVSR 710-140A) to automatically manage charging between the batteries.
When the switch is in position 1, the primary start battery becomes the sensing battery, meaning it is monitored by the DVSR. The second battery is kept in isolated mode and is automatically charged via the DVSR when the engine is running, ensuring it is always fully charged and ready to be used when needed.
If the switch is instead set to position 2, monitoring shifts to the second battery, and the start battery is charged via the DVSR. This intelligent system ensures there is always a fully charged reserve battery, which is a major safety advantage if the start battery runs out or if extra power is needed.
